Ridenour Lake – Nitro, WV. Our local trails and practice spot for the Putnam County Pedaler’s NICA team got a new trail completed this winter. With the help of a couple locals and student athletes we completed a new .4 mile section called WildKatz. The trail is for intermediate to advanced riders so we decided this short trail would have the full mix of options. The trail starts with some nice tight up and downs before picking up some speed for a choice of a short rock garden or a wood drop alternate line then races around some tight ulta thin singletrack. The thin line fattens through a small ravine onto some larger trail flowing into a large berm under a tree and ends with the choice of a nice wood kicker to your left or a huge 75′ skinny to your right.
